FEMA Maps & Flood Zones

FEMA recently revised the flood zone maps for parts of Collin County. No change has been made to previous maps in relation to the requirement for flood insurance to be purchased. Parts of Plantation Springs has been designated within the 100 to 500-year flood zone, however this leaves the areas affected in a moderate to low risk area.

An email has been circulated that suggests that parts of the community may be in a flood zone, and may cause unnecessary concern to residents. Only two areas in Frisco have been added to within the 100-year flood zone, and neither of these affect our community (these were in Plantation Resort and Lakewood Farms).
